FPA's 2006 Annual Meeting
On November 15th 2006, FPA held its annual meeting where Howard Wolfson, a savvy and in-demand political analyst and strategists with the Glover Park Group, discussed the outcome of the 2006 elections. During the meeting FPA presented the following three awards: The Alfred F. Moran Public Advocacy Award, presented to Kirsten Moore, president and CEO of the Reproductive Health Technologies Project. The Rev. Beatrice Blair Courageous Service Award, presented to Lisa Landau, Esq. for her work as director of the Reproductive Rights Unit in the New York State Attorney General’s Office. The Shirley Gordon Public Policy Leadership Award, presented to Alwyn Cohall, MD, principal investigator and project director of the Harlem Health Promotion Center.

FPA's 2005 Annual Meeting
On November 17th 2005, FPA held its annual meeting where Karen Pearl, interim president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America recounted on her first year at the helm of PPFA. FPA also presented the following three awards: The Alfred F. Moran Public Advocacy Award, presented to the Honorable Constance Cook, the former New York State Assemblymember who led the fight to reform the state abortion law in 1970. The Rev. Beatrice Blair Courageous Service Award, presented to Dr. Irene Sills, a pediatrician and devoted women’s health activist and scholar. The Shirley Gordon Public Policy Leadership Award, presented to Jen Wylegala, the former executive director of the New York Chapter of Republican Majority for Choice.
