FPA's Internship Program
The internship program at Family Planning Advocates of New York State offers opportunities to work in a professional, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization.

Please note that most internships are unpaid. Full and part-time internship positions are available throughout the year on an as-needed basis.

There are no application deadlines, and resumes are accepted throughout the year.

Every effort is made to ensure internship opportunities are flexible to accommodate students' schedules, allowing students to gain valuable experience in their respective fields of study as they work with skilled and knowledgeable staff members. Staff members will share knowledge, career advice, workplace mentoring and specifically tailored assignments to match the student's desire to learn and gain valuable experience while meeting FPA's mission.

Internship opportunities may be available in the following areas depending on need:

• Communications/Media
• Governmental Relations
• Legal Initiatives
• Public Affairs
• Emergency Contraception Access Project
• Immigrant Women's Health Project
• Get the Facts NY Campaign (sex education initiative)

To apply for an internship, candidates should send a cover letter indicating your field of study, desired internship area of focus, internship desired (fall, summer, spring, winter, full-time, part time), and writing sample to:
