FPA's 30th Annual Legislative Conference
Over 1,000 advocates from across the state took part in FPA's 30th Annual Conference. Planned Parenthood Federation of America President Cecile Richards, actress Cynthia Nixon and Governor Eliot Spitzer highlighted this year’s conference.
Morning workshops covered timely reproductive rights issues ranging from emergency contraception to the impact of the 2006 elections on women’s health care.
The afternoon plenary session explored lessons and challenges facing the women’s health and reproductive justice movement.
And the day would not have been complete without a gala reception to celebrate 30 years of protecting and expanding reproductive rights.
