Day of Advocacy: January 2007

On January 23rd 2007, FPA held a Day of Advocacy at the State Capitol. In attendance were over 100 advocates from across the state, meeting with their legislators on a variety of reproductive justice issues including funding for family planning, comprehensive sex education and enhanced access to emergency contraception. On the same day Assemblyman Richard Gottfried and Senator George Winner introduced the Healthy Teens Act (A.2845/S.1342), legislation that would secure funding for comprehensive sex education in New York State.
