Concerned Clergy for Choice Lobby Day 2006

On May 10th 2006, clergy and people of faith from across New York meet with state legislators in Albany in support of comprehensive sex education for young people. Members from Concerned Clergy for Choice and the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice advocated for the passage of the The Healthy Teens Act legislation which would provide much needed resources to fun age-appropriate, medically accurate sex education for our youth.

Shelby Knox, the heroine of the award-winning documentary, The Education of Shelby Knox spoke to members of the clergy about her fight for comprehensive sex education in her school and attended meetings with the sponsors of the Healthy Teens Act, Assemblymember Richard Gottfried and Senator Nicholas Spano.
